We do business differently.

Instead of building a big brand that requires inflating product prices to pay for it, we built a great product, priced it reasonably, and figured out how to build a sustainable business around it.

We prioritize product. We did away with the massive marketing budgets, the corporate overhead, the expensive influencers, the managers of managers, the exponential mark-ups, the artificial 'perceived-value' price hikes, and focused exclusively on building quality product that we can bring to the community at an accessible price point.

We keep it simple. We don't have six different styles of t-shirts, we have one and it works damn well. We don't redesign every product for every season, we make tried and true products that can be relied on day in and day out. We don't chase the latest trends or fancy buzzwords, we focus on function.

Of course, we hope (and need) to be a profitable business in order to sustain ourselves and continue working towards our mission of making trail running accessible to all, but profits are not why we are here. We are in business to stoke the soul of trail running. To tug on the scale; away from a professionalized profit machine and towards a pursuit of personal curiosity. To prevent the sport we all love from becoming a financially-draining endeavor. To enable all to enjoy the growth that comes when we explore our unknown.

We are a trail running brand, built for the trail running community and by the trail running community. And we thank you for being here.

It all started with a sock.

Walking into a running store while at a training camp in Boulder, Colorado, I was in search of a new pair of socks. I needed a pair of quality running socks that do what running socks are supposed to do: prevent blisters, wick away moisture, and generally keep the foot comfortable. Nothing more, nothing less. A simple, well-built sock that just works.

$50 later, I left the store with two half-decent pairs of socks and thought, "This is insane... I just paid fifty bucks for what, like fifty grams of fabric?". And so the journey began. I started sketching out my vision of what the go-to 'trail sock' would look like, found a few manufacturers to produce it, iterated on designs, and - just like that - Terignota was born.

But why just stop at socks? Trail running, and movement more generally, should be accessible and affordable. Trail running's soul is simplicity and I believe that simplistic aura should be reflected in the products we use. Simple, thoughtful, professional-level gear at a price point that keeps the doors to the sport open to all. Accessibly-priced gear that enables everyone to enjoy the freedom of movement and the exploration of our collective unknown.
